Five Growth Sectors Shaping Rajasthan's Next Decade

I live and work in Jaipur, and I see every week how many founders and investors ask the same question: where in Rajasthan should we build? The honest answer is that the state is moving in several directions at once. Here are five sectors, with the numbers that have been reported publicly this year.

Mining

A report in April 2026 said Rajasthan's Mines Department aims for INR 14,001 crore in revenue for FY 2026-27, up from INR 10,394 crore, and is preparing an auction calendar for mineral blocks. Another report noted that the state has allotted more than 100 major mineral blocks through auctions so far.

Solar

A May 2026 report said Rajasthan had installed about 200,416 rooftop solar systems with 771 MW of capacity under the PM Surya Ghar scheme, with Jaipur leading in installations.

Infrastructure

Jaipur Metro Phase-2, approved in April 2026 at about INR 13,037 crore, is the headline project, along with road, water and power works announced by the state.

Agriculture and agritech

Rajasthan's farm economy is expanding into agritech, processing and exports, even as weather risk remains the hardest challenge for farmers.

Health and wellness

India's push for medical value travel and AYUSH, discussed at an event in September 2026, offers a role for Rajasthan's hospitals and wellness centres.

How we think about it

A sector is attractive when demand, policy and execution capacity line up. For an entrepreneur, the practical questions are simple: can I register and comply quickly, finance the project sensibly, hire skilled people and reach customers? That is why we built a group that can help on each of these steps from Jaipur rather than a single-product company.

The Chairman's takeaway

Look at sectors where public investment and private demand meet, and prepare your registrations, approvals and finance before the opportunity arrives. Rajasthan rewards the prepared.
